10 Ton Gas Boiler Startup Issues

10 ton gas boilers mainly include two types: 10 ton SZS gas boiler and WNS gas boiler. It should be known that, whether it is a 10 ton gas boiler or other boilers, boiler startup issues involve transitioning the boiler from a non-operational state to an operational state, which entails some intricacies. Due to the complexity of the boiler, which consists of a series of components and auxiliary machines, the normal operation of the boiler involves processes such as combustion, heat transfer, and working fluid flow. In summary, the startup process of a 10 ton gas boiler requires multiple operations, which need to be coordinated over a period of time. Only after all operation processes are complete can the boiler be considered to be in its true working mode.

I. Overall Inspection: Regardless of whether the 10 ton gas boiler is newly installed, relocated, or post-maintenance, a comprehensive inspection of the boiler equipment must be conducted before startup to ensure that the boiler’s condition meets the startup requirements before proceeding to the next step. To standardize the workflow of boiler management personnel, please strictly follow the boiler operating procedures item by item before becoming familiar with the process.

1. Inspect the internal and external heated and pressurized elements of the steam-water system to determine if they are ready for operation.
2. Check the integrity of the combustion system of the gas boiler.
3. Inspect various openings (including manholes, handholes, fire observation doors, explosion-proof doors, and various valves) and joints in the steam-water system and combustion system, ensuring they are in the required positions for boiler startup.
4. Verify that safety accessories are complete and intact, and ensure they are in the required positions for startup.
5. Check the integrity of the steel structure components such as the framework, stairs, and platforms of the 10 ton gas boiler.
6. Inspect the integrity of various auxiliary machines, particularly rotating machinery, which should undergo individual trial runs.
7. Verify the integrity of various measuring instruments.

II. Water Filling: To prevent excessive thermal stress, the maximum temperature of the water filling the boiler should not exceed 90-100°C. The water filling speed should be slow, with a total filling time of no less than 1 hour in summer and no less than 2 hours in winter. Water filling should be stopped at the lowest safe water level to prevent overexpansion and excessively high water level due to heating.

III. Drying the Furnace: If the 10 ton gas boiler is newly installed, has undergone major repairs, or has been idle for a long time, the walls of the furnace and flue will be relatively damp. If suddenly exposed to high-temperature flue gas, problems may arise ranging from cracks and deformation to collapse accidents. To prevent such severe issues, the boiler must be dried before startup after water filling, making the furnace dry.
