At present, the epidemic prevention and control in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China is at a critical stage with the most severe situation and the most urgent tasks. The whole city has issued recruitment calls for volunteers at all levels to join the epidemic prevention and control team. EBICO acted according to the order and followed the order. It responded to the call of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government as soon as possible, quickly recruited personnel, formed a team of 10 employees, and rushed to the Luzhuang Community Service Center to carry out volunteer work.
As soon as 6 o’clock arrived, and the sky was still dark, EBICO volunteers were already on standby at the nucleic acid testing point, wearing the protective equipment distributed, and they immediately went to work.
Verifying itinerary codes, maintaining on-site order, issuing cards to residents who have nucleic acid, broadcasting to mobilize residents’ nucleic acids, checking residential buildings one by one, and assisting medical staff to enter nucleic acid sampling information… In the cold wind, EBICO volunteers and medical staff together, earnestly guarding the first line of defense against the epidemic.
From dawn to late at night, the busy figures of medical staff and EBICO volunteers in the cold winter wind showed warmth. Waking up early in the morning and late at the night, they are tireless, and despite being tired, they have no complaints. They have used practical actions and sincere deeds to unite the anti-epidemic forces and make every effort to ensure the efficient and smooth completion of the nucleic acid sampling work at the site.
EBICO actively participated in the voluntary service of epidemic prevention and control, united as one to overcome the difficulties, and wrote a moving chapter in the “fighting war” of epidemic prevention with a high degree of political consciousness and social responsibility.
