The advantages of biomass chain grate boilers

When using traditional layered combustion methods, due to the high moisture content in biomass fuels, the drying and preheating processes require a longer time. On chain stoves, this can result in delayed ignition, difficulty in complete combustion, and low boiler efficiency.

Chain boilers developed according to the characteristics of biomass fuels, compared to circulating fluidized bed boilers, have a simpler structure, are easier to operate, and have relatively lower investment and operating costs.

With a larger grate area in the boiler, the grate speed can be adjusted, and an air-sprinkling feeding method is adopted. The furnace volume has sufficient suspension space, allowing the fuel to burn in a suspended and layered state. This extends the residence time of biomass in the furnace, facilitating the thorough and complete combustion of biomass fuels.

Considering the characteristic of biomass fuels with rapid volatilization analysis and the need for a large amount of air during combustion, numerous secondary air nozzles are arranged around the furnace. This ensures sufficient mixing of fuel and air, guaranteeing the full combustion of biomass fuels and enhancing the boiler’s combustion efficiency. Adequate furnace heating surfaces are arranged to control the outlet flue gas temperature, reducing corrosion in high-temperature superheaters.
