At present, CSP is increasingly becoming the focus of attention due to its large-scale benefits and ultra-low electricity prices. Its advantages lie in energy storage and peak regulation. The deployment of solar thermal power generation projects has become a wise move for many countries with continued growth in electricity demand. And Dubai is also a country with huge electricity demand, even on the longest day in Dubai, there are more than 10 hours of darkness. As a result, longer storage periods are needed to support power demands over long nights. In contrast, other energy storage solutions have difficulty maintaining stable power output over such a long time span. In this project, the heat carrier heating furnace supporting the EBICO burner is the core equipment part of the super project, which makes it possible for Dubai to achieve a stable and low-cost power supply for a long time.
In the field conditions of this project, the fuel is light diesel oil, and the matching burner model provided by EBICO is EC10QR hot air split low-nitrogen fuel light oil burner, which adopts a medium atomization method with a larger adjustment ratio. In addition, the supporting instrument part of the burner adopts a full explosion-proof design, and the design hot air temperature of the burner is 250 ℃. The preliminary completion of this project is an important breakthrough in the history of human utilization of photovoltaic power generation. DEWA CSP project stores solar energy in molten salt in the form of a relatively advanced combination of tower and trough solar thermal power generation, thereby generating steam according to actual demand and achieving a 24-hour stable power supply at a lower cost. The electricity price of the 700MW CSP project of the Dubai Water and Electricity Authority has dropped by more than 60% to 7.3 cents/kWh, which is in line with the 2050 Dubai Clean Energy Strategy.
