Producer gas is mainly used for heating steel furnaces, glass kilns, coke ovens, etc. It can also be used as fuel for boilers or mixed with water gas as a feed gas for synthetic ammonia and methanol. During the preparation, air (or oxygen) and a small amount of steam are used to put coal, coke, and other solid fuels into the gas producer to gasify them, which is to produce producer gas.

The fuel temperature can meet the requirements of billet heating temperature: the Z-high heating temperature of ordinary steel billet is generally within the range of 1000~1350 ℃. The calorific value of the two-stage gas furnace is 6490kJ/m3. If the air preheating temperature is calculated as 300 ℃, the theoretical combustion temperature is 2300 ℃. If the furnace temperature coefficient is calculated as 0.7, the furnace temperature of 1610 ℃ can be obtained, which can fully meet the requirements of the rolling line. Feasibility of combustion technology: the width of the heating furnace in the workshop is less than 4m, and the side heating and end heating can meet the requirements of heating technology. Therefore, it is only necessary to change the original oil burner into an oil and gas dual-purpose burner, without other changes and with less investment. Strong radiation heat transfer of flue gas: The radiation ability of the three atomic gases CO2 and H2O in the flue gas is strong, and their concentration plays a decisive role in radiation heat transfer, that is, the higher the concentration of CO2 and H2O in the gas fuel, the stronger the radiation heat transfer of flue gas. The concentration of CO2 and HO in the gas combustion products can reach about 28%, and the concentration of CO2 and H2O in the specific gravity oil combustion products is high, so its radiation heat transfer is strong. The furnace temperature control is convenient and the heating quality is good: because gas is gas fuel and gas fuel and air are molecular mixtures, molecular mixing is easier than liquid non-molecular mixing, and the adjustment is convenient, which is conducive to the furnace temperature adjustment and control of the heating furnace. And because the gas and air are well mixed and the flame is uniform, there are no disadvantages such as poor atomization, concentrated flame, hot spots, cold spots, etc. when burning heavy oil directly, so the billet temperature is uniform and the oxidation burning loss is small.
