What are the Safety Regulations for the Operation of Industrial Fuel Gas Burner?

The main fuels for industrial gas burners can be divided into combustible gases such as natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and city gas. These are flammable and explosive dangerous gases. Great importance must be attached to safety during use and storage, otherwise, major safety accidents may occur.

To ensure the safety of commissioning operations, some operating standards for gas burners have been formulated, as follows:

First: There are three aspects of inspection before commissioning of fuel gas burners:
1. Check whether the gas is in place, whether the gas pipeline is clean and unobstructed, and whether the valve is open.
2. Whether there is pipeline leakage and whether the pipeline installation is reasonable.
3. Bleed air from the pipeline in front of the air valve to ensure that there is no mixed air in the pipeline. At the same time, the exhaust pipe should be connected to the outdoors.

Second: Internal inspection of fuel gas burners by boiler burner manufacturers
1. Whether the combustion head of the burner is properly installed and adjusted.
2. Check whether the rotation direction of the motor is correct.
3. Whether the external circuit connection meets the requirements.
4. Conduct a cold simulation of the burner based on the circuit conditions, and observe whether all parts of the equipment are normal and whether the flame detection and protection parts are normal.

Third: Commissioning of fuel gas burners
1. Check whether the external gas is in place, whether the pipeline is smooth, and whether the external power supply is in place.
2. Adjust the burner load to a small load, and adjust the ignition position to a small load accordingly. Turn off the large load ignition to observe the flame condition, and adjust the servo motor or damper according to the flame condition

Fourth: Precautions for gas engine commissioning and maintenance
1. If the gas burner cannot be ignited again continuously, it should be stopped to check whether the gas supply system of the burner is normal and whether the circuit wiring of the boiler burner manufacturer is correct. Restart the burner and resolve the problem.
2. It is strictly prohibited to strike or rub the gas supply pipeline with a wrench or metal rod to avoid generating static electricity or sparks and gas explosion.
3. Smoking, welding, cutting, and other illegal operations are strictly prohibited on the gas supply valve group or pipeline flange surface.
4. It is strictly prohibited to conduct any open fire test near pipelines, valve blocks, and pressure-regulating valves to avoid major accidents.
5. To test whether there is fuel in the gas supply pipeline, generally use a gas low-pressure meter.
6. The gas supply pipe has been evacuated, but there are residual gases or liquid droplets on the pipe wall. If static sparks and open flames are encountered, they can also cause combustion and explosion.
7. When the air supply pipeline has been ventilated and the valve block has failed, disassembly is required. First, the front main valve of the valve group must be cut off before the gas in the pipeline from the main valve to the valve group can be discharged, and then the valve group can be disassembled for maintenance.
8. During commissioning, the gas must be used carefully, safely, and efficiently.
9. It is prohibited to use non-explosion-proof electric tools on site.
10. Before using the leak detection device, the valve cover must be inspected.
