The industrial furnace uses liquid fuel, which is easy to operate and has little environmental pollution. The liquid fuels used in industrial furnaces can be diesel oil, crude oil, and heavy oil, but most of them are heavy oil.

China’s crude oil has a lot of wax and a large degree of point. The freezing point of heavy oil is above 30C, that is, most heavy oil in normal China is in a solidified state. In order to pressurize and transport, and improve the atomization performance, the heavy oil should be preheated to 90~120C during use. Heavy oil is a wide distillate fuel, in which various hydrocarbons have different boiling points. The temperature of the oil drops sprayed on the furnace face gradually rises, the low boiling point components evaporate first, and the remaining liquid drops contain more and more high boiling point components. So the temperature of the oil drops is getting higher and higher. When the cracking temperature of the fuel oil is reached (generally higher than 600K), the oil droplet is cracked to generate larger carbon particles. Therefore, compared with ordinary light oil fuels, carbon black is more prominent when burning heavy oil. In addition, the fuel vapor will also be cracked under the condition of high temperature and hypoxia to generate relatively small carbon particles. Generally speaking, if sufficient high temperature and sufficient air can be maintained in the rear half of the furnace, the generated carbon particles can be further burned. Otherwise, it will be discharged into the atmosphere to form black smoke and become two sources. Therefore, in the design of an oil furnace, on the one hand, it is necessary to ensure good atomization of heavy oil to avoid cracking of liquid oil droplets. For this reason, pneumatic nozzles are often used for heavy oil atomization, and steam or air can be used as the atomizing medium according to specific conditions. On the other hand, it is necessary to properly distribute the air entering the furnace, so as to ensure that the oil injected into the shield can get enough air at the early and late stages of combustion and can be well mixed with the fuel. Therefore, it is very important to reasonably select or design the strip air conditioner.
