How to Effectively Maintain Boiler Burner?
For the maintenance of gas boiler burners, we need to do the following points.
Filter – For oil steam boilers, it is required to clean the basket filter between the fuel tank and the fuel pump. Regular cleaning of the filter can ensure smooth fuel delivery to the fuel pump and reduce the potential for component failure. Also, check whether there are signs of excessive wear or damage on the filter element.
Pressure regulating valve – Check the gas boiler fuel pressure regulating valve or pressure reducing valve to determine whether the adjusting screw surface of the locking nut is clean and removable. If the screw and nut surface are too dirty or rusty, they should be repaired or replaced. A poorly maintained fuel regulating valve may cause the burner to work obstructions.
Fuel pump – Check the steam boiler burner’s fuel pump to determine whether its seal device is in good condition and whether the internal pressure can maintain stability. Replace or repair the sealing elements that are damaged or have leaks. If using hot oil, ensure that all oil pipes are well insulated; if there are long oil pipes, check the installation route. Replace damaged and poorly insulated oil pipes.
Burner – Clean the “Y” filter for oil steam boilers. The good filtration effect of heavy oil and slag oil is the key to preventing nozzle and valve clogging. Check the pressure difference on the burner, and see if the operation is normal and the fuel pressure is within the appropriate range so that the fuel pressure can be accurately read after adjusting the burner. Adjust the length of the atomizing nozzle extension and adjust and test the low oil pressure switch.
When using heavy oil, check the heating and control devices of the gas boiler and inquire about the oil viscosity required from the manufacturer of the burner tube group. Regularly check the viscosity of the used heavy oil or slag oil to meet the requirements.
