What is the working principle of a gas-fired boiler burner?

A gas-fired boiler burner is an important combustion device in the complete set auxiliary equipment of a gas-fired boiler. Gas-fired boiler burners can be divided into natural gas burners, city gas burners, liquefied petroleum gas burners, and biogas burners. Here, we briefly introduce the working principle and circuit diagram of gas-fired boiler burners.

Working principle of gas-fired boiler burners
A gas-fired boiler uses a burner to control combustion. The gas-fired boiler burner is responsible for mixing fuel and oxygen inside the boiler content, igniting it with a ignition device, and continuously burning to heat the water inside the boiler.

As an electromechanical device with a high degree of automation, a gas-fired boiler burner can be divided into five systems: the air supply system, ignition system, monitoring system, fuel system, and electrical control system:

1. The function of the air supply system is to supply a certain air speed and volume to the combustion chamber. Its main components include: shell, fan motor, fan impeller, gun tube, air damper controller, air damper plate, cam adjustment mechanism, diffuser plate.

2. The function of the ignition system is to ignite the mixture of air and fuel. Its main components include: ignition transformer, ignition electrode, high voltage ignition cable. The length, angle, and shape of the flame can be designed according to the user’s requirements.

3. The function of the monitoring system is to ensure the safe and stable operation of the combustion machine. Its main components include flame monitors, pressure monitors, and temperature monitors.

4. The fuel system is responsible for ensuring the fuel required for the combustion machine. The fuel system of the fuel-fired combustion machine mainly includes: fuel pipe and joint, fuel pump, electromagnetic valve, nozzle, heavy oil preheater. The fuel system of the gas-fired combustion machine mainly includes: filter, regulator, electromagnetic valve group, ignition electromagnetic valve group, fuel butterfly valve.

5. The electrical control system is the command center and communication center of the above systems, and the main control element is the program controller. Different program controllers are matched with different combustion machines, and common program controllers include: LFL series, LAL series, LOA series, and LGB series. Their main difference is the time of each program step.
